My room was robbed....GRRRR!!!

Ok after two days into the week i've concluded that this week is gonna be the same as the last, sit in office and rot to death. I'm still not assigned to anything and hardly anybody is ever around the office that i could pratically stroll around naked and nobody would even know. Although i got an email about the next project and i've got to say that it is big, well at least bigger that what i've done so far which really isn't much actually. Anyway whenever that next project starts i'm definately gonna be really really busy, although right now i'm still hoping that i can get my car before the project starts at least that way i won't have to think about how the fuck am i gonna get there. I guess that would mean i would have to rot in the office more, as in the longer i rot my ass off the better it'll be....sigh, well that sucks.

Now here is some strange news...i lost my favorite and only perfume, and its strange because i lost it in my room. After all why the hell would i want to bring it around with me, its not as if i'm gonna walk it or something right. Yeah so anyway i lost it in my room, although my room is messy as hell its not so messy till i can loose something like that. Besides the bottle always sits on my table and it never moves from there, when i need to use it i just pick it up spray and put it back where i took it from. So how did i loose it? Well i suspect that someone actually came to the house and that someone actually stole it...Motherfucker, if i find that SOB i am gonna shove a pogo stick so far up his ass he would be walking with 3 legs for the rest of his life, or he could hop on one but i imagine that would really hurt.

Because of some incident some years back i can't really afford to lock my room, in the event that i did (accident or not) it would really take a lot of effort to get back in...As you might have already guessed, yes i lost the key to my room. I obviously can't duplicate because the key i lost was the master key, hell if i could i would have done that already. Actually it really wasn't me that lost the key, it was a friend of mine that lost it...but i'll not get into that, it'll take me a long time to finish that story. So anyway i probably have to call a locksmith to see if i need to change the locks or if he could just make me a new one. And then i would have to look for my perfume again, oh i also lost my shades along with my perfume....sigh, wasn't a good week at all. There goes 1k, not planning to buy a pair of new shades yet though...can't really afford it right now, so i guess the perfume will have to do. I hope i still can find it, heard it was suppose to be like some limited edition thingy...and here i thought that i could get myself a new HDD, fucking make me waste my money only...it wasn't even half some more, GRRRRR!!!!

What a weekend.

Sigh another boring day at the office, i hope that this week won't be a repeat of last week though because if it is i think i'll ask someone to shoot me to end my misery. The office is so boring theres rarely anyone here to begin with, fortunately today there are two other colleagues here with me else i'll be alone....again. I had a somewhat interesting and very expensive weekend, where i spend like rm100 in two days, or close to that anyway i kinda lost count. And all that money going to 1 dinner, 1 convention and 2 yum cha sessions. Yep just those and my wallet became 100 bucks lighter, damn.

Well i don't really mind spending for the food, so i'll just strike that out. But the convention which was the KLIMS '06 (Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show) was a complete con job and a total waste of money and time. If i had known that this years motor show was gonna be just that i never would have went, there was nothing nice to see in the first place...It was like the exact same cars as the previous year cept with maybe 1 or 2 difference or so only, and i had to pay like 20 bucks to see what i've already seen last year.

The two yum cha session was on the same day i might add, once in the early evening where i went to starbucks for a drink right after the motor show. The place was so packed and i didn't get anything to drink so my friends and i decided to just drop by, sit down relax and grab a drink la. It wasn't really too bad of an idea also la considering i was meeting up with someone there as well who happened to be working at KLIMS, unfortunately though i kinda feel bad for not being able to send that particular friend home, seeing as how the person wasn't feeling too well and had to eventually take the train back...poor thing.

Later that night a bunch of us decided to go up to genting, i was really enthusiastic about it too since i haven't been there for an awfully long time and considering how i love cold weather it was definately a good place to visit from the norm. Since i don't gamble the only thing i actually do there is have long walks and drink coffee so thats where the other yum cha session came in, another round of starbucks. Where we sat for like 3 to 4 hours playing monopoly, thats was funny though because there were 3 of us and 2 of us were 'pakating' to kill off the other guy, too bad i didn't really have the chance to gloat over my victory because we were interrupted and that really just spoiled everything.

Eventually we started our journey down the mountain at roughly 4am++, i can't really remember as i wasn't really looking at the time. I got home at 7am, yeah yeah i know the journey down doesn't really take that long but you see the driver of the car didn't check the car before we headed up, and little did we know that the radiator didn't have water so even when we were heading down hill with the cold weather all the engine manage to overheat and we had to pull over. To cut the story short we were saved by a friends girlfriend and her friends who happen to be up there as well, but not before we experienced more problems la...well eventually everything worked out and we got back home safe and sound approximately 3 hours later, interesting weekend for a change...it was fun, hey when we gonna do that again? hahaha. Finally all done.

Woot i finally solve the problem yesterday...actually it was already solved yesterday problem was i didn't know the network configuration or how to set the virtual machine to the appropriate device. So anyway with my colleagues assistance i was able to complete everything before lunch today. I also opened my bank account today which took quite a while really...geez and i thought it would have been fast. Anyway today has got to be the longest i ever 'curi ayam' from work, i once went on a 2 hour lunch break but that was like long ago even before my degree when i was working part time for a little while and i thought that was long. Today the new record is set and it is 3.5 hours woohoo, technically i wasn't really playing hookie from work la, i went to the bank that was really near my house and i had to come home first to settle some stuff, blah blah blah...so yeah thats why la took so long.

Wah now to open bank account need to put in more money for the start up i feel so cheated, but then stupid la cause you can just take it right back out. And then now also they don't issue people the pass book anymore, i wonder why? Maybe they decided to be more environmental friendly or something so if they don't give out passbooks that means they use less paper which equates to less trees being chopped....or so they think la, hahaha. With China developing faster then an airborne disease on steroids i don't think not using paper is gonna help la, they'll take every damn tree that you don't want anyway so no difference. And after i have put so much in for a start up i just feel cheated for not getting my passbook...Let me remind you though that i'd never use it and it'll probably just lay somewhere in my room to collect dust where one day it would eventually rot and crumble to dust. Still!!! with that said i can't help but feel cheated...lol, gawd i'm such a bitch. Anyway with that aside i can now relax cause i know money is comin soon...mwahahahaha, ph33r me.

In the end i didn't manage to open my bank account, which means money gonna come later rather then earlier....sigh, and i'm already broke as hell. Hopefully i will still get my pay soon la as long as i open it like really really soon, like tomorrow soon. Today i was running simulations the whole day and none of them worked so damn frustrating and because it didn't work now i've got a headache....argh!!! Hrm, oh well i was hoping some problems came up anyway at least that i'd have some experience dealing with problems like this in the event that it comes up next time, so its really a good thing...Although i still have yet to solve it la. Guess i'll pick up where i left off tomorrow la, need to chill cause my head hurts right now.

Its been about 3 weeks plus since i've last played WoW and oddly i don't even miss it one bit, i still refuse to delete or stop playing though cause i figured after all i've done (effort and time) it'll be a big waste if i threw it all out right now. Thinking back i started work kinda at the peak of my WoW 'career'. Yeah i need to be pushed in everything i do sometimes, and just when i was picking up some momentum i got a job...of course i would have loved to still be playing WoW as actively as i was back then, but hey need to get the money...important shiets numsayin. CREAM = Cash Rules Everything Around Me. Ah i'm bushed think i'll go kick back and relax...till the next episode.

Morons

Looks like i didn't manage to read my reading material, not because i didn't get it...i got it alright, problem was my pc didn't have MS Word and so i couldn't open it. Now i've got to say that that is some funny shit, guess i'll be having some homework to do la. Finally got the office connection up which is really a good thing so after two days of calling back and forth and tons of trouble shooting the problem has been resolved by the telekom guy. Seeing how the guy solve the problem was so easy that it got me really curious as to what was the cause of the problem in the first place...So being the curious little bugger that i am i decided to ask. And he said 'Oh it was a password problem'. WTF!!!??? What you mean password problem, i called to tell them morons to reset the password and i still couldn't get in. Hell i even knew it was a password problem but after the password reset i was a bit skeptical about my own analysis because nothing happened and i still couldn't go online. But nicely this fella comes in try a few of his shit, makes a phone call and talks as if he'll let whoever it is on the other end fuck his ass if he did him a favor by resetting the password and tadah!!! Like Magic the line is up and running....Pui, magic my ass. I also know what the problem was la, i even called to tell them the problem when they said that the fucking line had some problems. Sometimes ar i really wonder what the fuck are those people in the call center really doing simply just saying shit they don't even know.

Actually i think i shouldn't be too harsh on them la, i'm sure they get enough shit from everyone else already...I'm just kinda frustrated cause i knew the problem i told them the problem and i ask for a reset and nothing worked. That probably means that someone wasn't really doing their job now was it. Ah forget it its like all in the past and the line is working again, my colleague and i were pretty relieved after the line came up but i obviously had more stress because i have to see the boss la while he is away in the clients place doing some stuff, i tell you i can feel my boss's dissatisfaction from his room all the way to mine man...and let me tell you it wasn't pleasent at all. Oh i'm gonna be so broke this month...thanks to all the calling i've been doing for the past two days, yeah i don't use the office phone because i don't have a phone in my room...all the phone is outside. I probably used up rm20 worth of credit in two days...if this continues tomorrow i'd have to top up by the end of next week, worst thing is i just topped up last week...Ouch. Then tomorrow also i gotta wake up earlier to go to the bank to settle my banking so that they can bank in my salary to me and i have to look for my colleagues like right now to pass my the claims form because i have to do it all up by tomorrow. Don't do means no money and then next month i just die or something, probably along the lines of starving to death...hrm, i think its kinda painful to die that way. I definately won't be smiling thats for sure, i'm guessing if that happens my face would look really unhappy and both my hands around my stomach...hrm, speaking of which i'm hungry. Think i better go eat don't really wanna end up that way now do i.

Boring day at work.

Strangely though i wasn't really distracted or anything today, office was boring as hell and i almost dozed off on more then one occasion. The connection was down else i wouldn't have been so bored, and i spend most of the day trying to get the connection back up again...unfortunately though all my effort was in vain, apparently there is something wrong with the line and there wasn't anything that i could do cept keep calling tmnet and keep bitching and whinning till they all can't take it anymore and commit mass suicide or something, but other then that yeah its was a boring day. However i predict that tomorrow would be tiring though, got lotsa stuff to read up on...provided that the material i'm suppose to read up on reaches me la.

While i was trouble shooting the problems in the office in regards to the connection i was interrupted by this two ladies from prudential (insurance) and in more ways then one i'm really thankful that they did interrupt me, else i really would have drop face flat on the keyboard and sleep...funny ain't it, normally people would just turn them away and not be interested and i'll admit that i would have done that too given it was any other day la. Although i'd have to say that i was a little worried that they'd take too much time and my boss might have came back. Well obviously i don't know what he was gonna think of it la but since i was alone and all in the office i though that it'd be ok to hear them out to occupy some time, fortunately they left before my boss came back....and being the fucker that i am i gave them two phone numbers of my friends to call and disturb, hahahaha!!! Well i know what is one gonna say already cause this would most likely be the third time he's gonna be asked about the same thing. As for the other, well i've warned you so the rest is up to you.

So much for a long day.

No one should assume, why? Simply because it would make an 'Ass' out of 'u' and 'me', thats what someone once told me. Well so much for assuming that today is gonna be a long day, it actually turned out to be quite the opposite really. I was done and on the way home at 11.30am, now how is that for working hours. I would have gone to the office with my colleague but we made some calls and discovered that no one is there and we don't even know if the door was open so we decided to fuck it lets just go home then.

Today is probably the first time i actually took the public transport in 4 years, well this excludes the Bintulu trip la because that one everyday have to take...What to do no car there, and not like i know how to get around there anyway. So anyway i kinda forgot which was my stop so i bought a ticket and hopped on the train only to discover after 1 stop that i had actually bought the wrong ticket...I was like huh??? what two stops then i'm there??? this can't be right??? oh wait...oh course this ain't right i bought the wrong ticket...doh!!!

Got home all sweaty and shit thanks to this humidity we are all getting, sat down to relax a little then my tennant wanted to go out for lunch. Well since i haven't eaten yet i thought it was a good idea, but i had to rush cause someone else is waiting for us so i didn't really have time to take a shower and did i mention that today is espeacially humid, it ain't really hot but i've been sweating like a pig. Oh well and after all that i'm finally home, ahhh....the cold shower was so refreshing. If everyday were similar to this working would really rock.

One of those days

Phew today seemed to be like a long day at work where nothing was achieved...guess that happens, it really wasn't our fault though. Some blur guy decided to install another management software into the same server knowing that it would cause conflicts with ours...the nerve of some people i tell you. In the end the thing got so fucked up that there wasn't much choice but to reformat the server. Well at least thats what my colleague and i thought anyway, fortunately the server hasn't gone live so its all good its just a hassle...well a hassle not for me to handle but for someone else la, but it would also give me more work as i now have to extend my visits to that god forsaken place for another week.

The thing that really pissed me off was the other guy wasn't even suppose to install his software into that server, his server hasn't arrived yet...but noooooo, he thought oh lookie here a management server i'll just dump my shit here too. And then he had the nerve to ask us how to handle the situation when the two software clashes...i mean come on la you know it will fucking clash and you just went ahead and do it without consulting us or anything. But thats not all he went so far as to even suggest we don't use that server and use some other server...wtf!!??? He decided all this without consulting anyone where the fuck did he come up with that decision anyway from his ass??? Only later did he find out that he wasn't suppose to install anything anywhere because the server he was suppose to use hasn't arrive...and he was all quiet then.

Well it was a little too late by then the damage had already been done, sigh....Imbeciles, i just fucking hate them la a whole day of trouble shooting because of clashes because we were being nice and decided that he could share resources with us. It was bad enough that i still have a little headache he just had to add on top of that. Which brings me to a dilemma of how the fuck am i gonna get there by myself next week when i don't have a car. This not having a car thing is really becoming a bad thing and i really really need to get one....like yesterday, don't wanna be caught getting in a fix like i'm going to next week. Oh well i'm too tired right now all i wanna do right now is eat, lay back and relax and sleep...after all tomorrow is gonna be another long day, sigh.

Sick...Again

Its odd then when i thought that i am back in civilization i thought everything is all good and go my way. But i guess life is strange like that isn't it, it always has some strange way of throwing a curve ball at you when you would least expect it. Anyways i got sick yesterday with a really bad sore throat and my body seems to be like burning up although oddly enough i don't have a fever and i'm coughing really badly and really thick phlegm. So i didn't go to work for the pass two days, it seemed to have been ok last night actually but when i woke up this morning it was all back again so i had to call my colleague to cancel meeting up with him.

Right now i feel like i'm back to normal cept for the little stuff still lingering behind, like the phlegm and coughing...Sorethroat is still there but not as bad as this morning or the previous day. I hope this don't repeat tomorrow cause i really don't wanna make a bad impression or anything. Fever is gone though so its a good thing, if this remains i'll still go to work la i guess. Maybe its the weather its been really hot lately and i don't know i can't really stand the humidity and all la, plus like i've said earlier i have to sit in a server room which is normally freezing cold so the constant change in temperature could really effect me. Well i better go get some more rest so that i can really be refreshed tomorrow or something, don't wanna be calling off work for another day.

Back in Civilization.

Woot!!! i am back in civilization!!! and let me tell you its great to be back...although there are some things that i can live without. But it doesn't matter i'd rather this then how it is back there in bintulu. Although i've just spend the last 10 days in Bintulu Sarawak for what a friend likes to call 'OJT' or 'On the Job Training' i really didn't learn all that much, although i can go out on my own to implement already...provided everything goes smoothly la. If there were any problems then i'd definately choke so i still need to experience more and see more before i can really be independant and do stuff on my own.

I have to get my priorities right now that i'm back, first task that needs to be taken care off is a bank account...no bank account equals to no paycheck, i've actually already applied for it i just have to go and collect all the stuff from the bank only. This is obviously not gonna be easy for me because i have to work and i have to travel around seeing that how i don't have a car this might really prove to be somewhat difficult. Secondly i really need to get the details on getting a car. As i've mentioned earlier i actually have to travel around alot so without a car its really gonna be tough for me to get around.

Fortunately though i'm still under my seniors guidance and right now i just tumpang their car when i can la. If not then i guess i have to take a cab to where ever it is i have to go...I'm not really looking forward to that considering some of the places i have to go are really far, for example Putrajaya...can you imagine how much the taxi fare would cost just getting there not to mention i still have to get back. Currently i'm assigned to a project in Putrajaya and i'll be travelling from home to the client and back to office for about a week so thats gonna cost me quit a bunch...After that i don't know, guess i'll have to wait and see then. Oh i think i better start doing some work don't wanna be looking like too much of a slacker :P

One more day to go

Just one more day to endure before i go home...the anticipation to get home is really killing me, lol!! But i seriously miss home, hrm i guess you could say because my surroundings aren't as comfortable compared to home. Like i know where i'm going where this road goes to and blah blah blah and they don't have starbucks here!!! i don't care when i get back i'm gonna drop off my bags maybe take a shower depending on how icky i feel then head back out to starbucks!!! I'd have to say thought that i'm getting slightly worried with the amount of coffee that i'm consuming. Yes i've been drinking coffee everyday since i got here and i honestly don't think its a good thing i mean smoking is bad enough i don't wanna pick up another addiction so i guess i should control it.

Hrm, i wonder if there is anything i should do on my last day here. Some of my colleagues wanna go out to town to scope out the 'girls' hahaha....But i think i'd just rather sit back and chill in the hotel. Hey the hotel and town isn't exactly very near ok its like a half an hour walk from the hotel, i mean its ok la the distance but the problem is when you've been walking there every other day for the pass 1 and a half week. However there is a 'regatta festival' going on right now la and i think i wouldn't mind taking a look at that since i've never seen one...EVER. Although i don't have a camera to take pictures for that to keep as memories *sniff*. But whatever it is i'm really really looking forward to tomorrow, hopefully i don't have to come back here next week like some of my other colleagues *keeps fingers crossed*.

And now the weather report

And now for the weather report...raining, oh wait nope not raining....oh wait its raining, oh then again maybe not, oh theres the rain again....and there it goes again. The strangest thing that goes on around here is that the weather changes faster then you can change your undies i kid you not. But sometimes it looks like its gonna rain, with all the lightning and thunder and all that fine stuff that comes along with a nice heavy rain but you just wait and wait and wait and nothing happens. It has been so terrible hot here since i've got here that its seriously making it a chore to go out and eat. After a long day in the freaking cold server room you just don't really wanna go out and take a walk in the hot weather just to get food.

Unfortunately hotel food aren't even near affordable and to be honest i don't even think its that great, hell i'd rather just save the money on the food and bring it all back and have a great time back in KL. The nearest place that i can actually go to and eat from my hotel is roughly 1km away, staying in the hotel for too long isn't such a good idea as well because like i've said before there really isn't anything to do cept watch tv and use the WiFi which really sucks anyway. Even here at the office canteen the food is no wear near edible, and i'm already running out of choices here in the office. For some strange reason all the chicken that they serve here are really tough its like they're all made of rock or something....Its harder then the beef even.

Oh well theres only about 2 more days to go before i head home, tickets are already booked so confirm heading back on Saturday. Hrm, it looks like its gonna rain outside for real this time, gawd i hope it does rain. Need to settle a few things when i get back and then i might need to fly back here on monday again, sigh. Apparently there would be more projects soon in China or something, well i guess its time to brush up on some mandarin although i doubt that it'll help one bit at all but i guess its worth a shot la right. The supervisor of my department wants me to take over for the new projects already after this so thats gonna be a major challenge thats soon to come so i guess i'll have to read up on the product as well....well better get started and look busy.

Virus in the network

Ok i'm feeling not too bad already cept for some minor coughing, guess my body really isn't used to the constant change of temperature from the freezing cold server room to the outdoors which is totally freaking hot. Well i'm almost done here and i'm really looking forward to go home, i really need to get somethings settled so the sooner i'm finished here the happier i'll be. My flight has already been booked for this coming Saturday and i guess its a good thing that i actually can get back on a weekend so i can kick back and relax somewhat the moment i get back.

Currently waiting for some documents to proceed with work, dammit this people sure are slow are getting things done i tell you. Considering how early they wake up to go to work they sure as hell seem more like slackers to me. Anyway some fool probably clicked on his/her email and got his/her pc infected with a virus and now the damn thing is travelling all across the network...fuck!!! I tell you some people are just plain dumb la.

The reason why i'm pissed is because now i'm forced to install an anti virus into my laptop which i really don't want to and i've avioded for a good whole year, and look at me now i've never gotten a virus but because of one idiot sigh...oh well, can't really blame the poor bugger, cause if you think about it without people like him, alotta IT grads wouldn't really have their jobs now would they. Hrm, i wonder what project am i gonna get next when i get back into the office...i hope i don't have to come back to Sarawak the next week or something, that would really suck.

I was actually thinking of purposely getting my laptop infected with the virus and then go back to the hotel to hook up with the WiFi and get all those buggers leaching of the bandwith infected. That should teach them to hog the bandwith...its been three days since i actually last used my WiFi connection due to their line being so fucked up that i couldn't do anything and secondly because their router was fucked for about 2 days. But nah i don't think i wanna go and infect anyones laptop....karma you know :P

My poor back

And after carrying 32 printers my back aches like no tomorrow...all of a sudden i feel old, as in really old. Sigh i guess now i know better then to do hardware support, my senior was telling me that testing the 32 out of 36 printers that we did yesterday was no big deal compared to setting up 1000 desktops. You know what he is right...opening boxes of 36 printers are only 36 boxes, but when setting up desktops you have to carry and open twice the amount of machines you're gonna set up. Meaning 1000 desktops are a minimum of 2000 boxes, why? Eh you all use computer don't need monitor wan ar??? hahahaha.

Honestly though my back is really aching right now, even with my notebook in a sling bag is giving me some problems. Sigh and here i thought carrying 6 rack mount servers and etc etc where something, but this definately tops it all so far for me as being the most strenuous task to date. Sigh now i have to do four more big ass printers...sheesh i hope my back don't give up on me, to make things worst i wasn't feeling very well yesterday. Hell i didn't even go out and eat, let alone do anything else. To make things even worst, there was nothing on tv, so i was practically rotting to death in the hotel room.

Did i mention that there was something wrong with my hotels WiFi connection? Well in case i didn't then now you know. I think they need to reset the router cause i can connect to the router but i can't get online, i've experienced this problem before at home with my own router so most likely its the same thing with theirs. Besides they're using the same brand of router as i am, difference is mine is more terrer la of course, hahahaha!!! But seriously it really is....theirs is like running on 802.11b only, but i would have to say if the line wasn't acting up its actually pretty fast considering all the hotels guests that are using it. Owww....my poor back, think i better check if got massage service in the hotell when i get back.

Updates from the east.

After being here for almost a whole week now i conclude that this place has daylight savings...seriously. Well if they don't then they sure as hell make you feel like there is anyway. Apparently the locals here wake up at about 5am and go to work at about 7am, finish work at around 4pm, and almost all the shops are closed before 9pm. If you happen to be in the town at about 9pm it'd actually give you the impression that it is already almost midnight.

I've also mentioned previously that this place is dead boring, there is absolutely nothing to do, in someways its kinda like an ideal working environment, because there really isn't that much to distract you. Hell even WoW couldn't distract me here....the reason being the crappy internet connection which fluctuates a lot. Yesterday was probably my only off day so i actually just lazed in the hotel room watching TV all day, i watched the same episodes of CSI not once, but twice...how lame is that.

However i did manage to go out and catch a movie...yes i went to watch MI3 yesterday. You know if the cinemas back in KL and PJ were this easy to get good seats, i think i'll probably watch every movie that comes to the cinema...the place was practically empty, and not to mention relatively small. How small??? Well its roughly the size of a classroom if you all remember how big that is, and because of how small it is and how empty it is the place is cold....freezing cold even.

Oh i forgot to mention i found the cheapest ciggarettes you can find in the entire malaysia, well at least packed ciggarettes la. If you think rm5.50 is cheap wait till you come here to get your ciggies...i bought myself a big pack of smokes for an amazing price of RM2 only!!! Yes 2 bucks for smokes...man, i could just light this thing, take a puff and then throw it away and i wouldn't feel a thing. Hell its even cheaper to when i first started to smoke, and let me remind you that was a very very long time ago and ciggies were way cheaper back then...but hell this one just showed me a new definition of killing your lungs, lol.

With the constant going in and out of the extremely cold server room, my body had to constantly adapt the the change in temperature...going out to eat lunch is now a seemingly bad idea cause its really hot and its really stuff in the cafeteria, with that said i think i'm getting sick. Oh well i only have to withstand until end of this week max before its all over....at least i hope so, i really wanna go home. I miss my internet and my make shift bed already.

Still a long way from home

While i was on my way to work earlier this morning i came across a road sign that was pointing to a direction of a particular road. Now i really wasn't paying attention to anything, but at a glance i could have sworn the name of the road is 'Similanjau'...of course that made me go like WTF!!!??? and proceeded to double check on the sign before i passed it, and so i was wrong and instead the name of the road is 'Similajau'. Well pretty close i would say but it would be a good laugh though, can you imagine if someone asked where you were...it'll probably be like:

Someone: Oitz, where are you?
Me: I'm going to similanjau
Someone: .....

Of course there are other strange an unusual things over here la, but its really far and in between so i'm not really gonna talk bout that. Well its not really strange if you are from here in the first place, but i'm really new here and i haven't been here in my entire life so seeing that how this is my first time here, i am really a like a foreigner. After all they speak mostly in mandarin which i can hardly understand a damn word...besides that they speak some language that i am totally unaware of so i think i really am a foreigner here. Being away for so long i kinda miss home somewhat...most likely cause i'm in unfamiliar territory and there really isn't much to do here plus my friends aren't really around. Unfortunately though i have to stay here a little longer then expected, fuck!!! Oh well its all part of the learning that i have to do...must yan!!!

Crappy Connection

The day actually turned out to start really slow and i thought that it was gonna be a boring day...well in the end it turned out that i was somewhat right about that. There wasn't really that much for me to do at work so basically i just bummed around in the server room for what seemed like a really long time (about 5 hours++). When i got back to the hotel i went to the lobby to used their free WiFi connection as thats the only place i get to use the internet (cept the office) only to discover that their damn connection was having some problems last night and everything was loading REALLY SLOW, man even dail up is faster that the speeds that i got yesterday. So anyway i didn't really care as i had time on my side, at least thats what i thought la...to say the least i spend about two hours in the hotel lobby trying to get into blogger but in the end i decided to just retire and do this from the office...and so here i am blogging instead of working.

While i was sitting the the lobby waiting for pages to load there were a few guys hanging around the same area as i was, and i think at least one of them was a pimp or something cause he started talkin to the guys next to him and they started giggling and i managed to catch a few sentences or two about like girls and something like 'the first one' and blah blah blah. Then one of them called someone from his cellphone and a few minutes later another man and a girl came out from the lift which were really just next to us and they just sat across those strange men, and those earlier men were discussing something and started giggling. After which the new guy (that came out from the lift) went over to talk about something...But in the end i think nothing happen....why leh? i don't know i was too busy pressing the refresh button. The a group of filipinos (all girls) came and made alotta noise for waiting i don't know what and they were all just next to me wah so irritating. I mean it was bad enough that i was all stressed out because of the crappy connection, coming and annoy me some more wah i cannot tahan man. Hope the connection gets better today....hrm, think i better get back to work.

Tiring day at work

Ah and so it came to pass that my first day of 'actual' work has come to an end...it was a terribly tiring day and not to mention hot and cold (abit more on that in a while). It started at 7am, when i woke up got ready came downstairs for breakfast and left for work...it started of pretty slowly as there wasn't much to do because all the servers were still packed and haven't been brought to the server room. The server room was freezing cold but then again thats how a server room is suppose to be although i would have to admit that i've been in waaaayyyy colder server rooms that the one i was in today.

I managed to fix up a rack server today which is a really big thing for me since i've never done it, now that means i have learnt something new and i could now add that to my resume in the future, this is great my second day on the job and i've already learnt something entirely new to me. Tomorrow i'll be setting up the software and stuff like that this would be really interesting too because i've bever seen or know how to configure a server from scratch so tomorrow is definately a big day. Oh did i mention that i was at a port...i've never been this near to a port ever, too bad i didn't go near the cranes, hrm...then again i don't know if i can go near a crane.

Again i'm really sorry for no pictures i would really love to take some because this place isn't really that bad, although yes it does seem a little bit different from where i am more accustomed to but its really not as bad as i first thought it would be. I feel like as if i'm in a foreign land, hrm...wait then again i always feel that way when i'm somewhere else other then PJ or KL as in someplace where i'm familiar with la. So i guess its no surprise there la. Hrm, well maybe the reason why i'm enjoying my work right now is cause i'm still new la. I'll just wait till a few more months or something then i'll tell you if i still like it, or still enjoying it rather. But apparently my job requires me to travel alot, not necessarily to this side of the country but around the country. My senior (babysitter) said that he hasn't been into the office for 2 months now due to work, well i guess that is something to look forward to la right...or is it?

Bintulu Sarawak

Phew finally after what seems like hours 'creating a new post' finally loaded!!! Hooooooo!!! Anyways here i am blogging from a hotel lobby in Bintulu Sarawak. An important note here is that this is my first time on this side of Malaysia, so everything here is new to me. Although i'm here for work and not play i do hope that i would get some time to play...however i'm pretty much clueless as to what is there to do in this place. For starters i'm really regretting not having a camera for situations like this...like i've said before everything here is new to me, and so i would have loved to capture this moment as a rememberence and to share with some friends when i get home. Someone from home actually called me earlier while i was having dinner and asked if i saw any 'rumah panjang'.

Anyway i haven't really started work, i got here pretty much in the evening and so i only have to go the the clients place first thing tomorrow morning, apparently people on this side of the country seem to wake up pretty early....Hrm, so wtf am i still up for??? I should be going to bed considering that i have to wake up at like 7 in the morning. Gawd i'm so fucked...i've also been told that i would probably have to work this weekend due to some complications that happened before i started working in. Sigh, well i'll know whats going on by tomorrow la and maybe if i'm not too tired i'll post about it then...However you guys had better not keep your fingers crossed and wait for pictures aight...cause there is no way you're gonna see any. Hrm, yes i think i should save up and invest on a camera.

First half of the first day

Ok so its my first day of work and i'm currently sitting in my assigned desk, firstly i have got to say that this had better be temporary cause the machine sucks, lol!!! No la its just that i'm in a seperate place from everyone else and around me i see the photostat machine and the fax machine. Since it is my first day i really don't have anything to do as a matter of fact i've been surfing for the pass four hours, and frankly i've run out of things to read. I've been advised by a good friend of mine to avoid bringing my laptop to work, however i think that tomorrow i'm gonna need to...why leh, well as of tomorrow i would not be in PJ or KL i would be flying to Bintulu, Sarawak. Yes i was as equally shocked as you all are considering that tomorrow is only my second day on the job, so Mr. Wimal how you like that for a second day on the job? Sure beats OT doesn't it :P

Anyway my job in Sarawak would be implement a system in said company (i don't think i can tell the whole world right?). Of course i'm not gonna go alone la, what you want me to fuck up everything meh? This is gonna be my first time doing such a thing anyway so obviously i'm gonna go there with a senior la...currently he is assigned to be my "babysitter" lol. I wonder whats in store for me tomorrow, worried and excited at the same time. Speaking of which i have to get some money for my trip...oh yeah and incase you're all wondering i already have my flight ticket with me right now. Oh i just realised that i have to start packing some clothes the minute i get back home later, dammit i don't even know what kind of clothes to bring. The estimate time that i would be there is until next wednesday...yup 1 week, can you imagine if i didn't bring my laptop with me, i'd probably die of boredom. Interesting fact is i've never been to that part of Malaysia ever in my whole life, so this is really gonna be interesting both personally and professionally. Well i think i better get back to looking busy.

On the last day

I finally got my hair cut in preperation for my work tomorrow although i think my fringe is a tad too long but who cares its not like i'm gonna go see anyone....i think, lol. Anyway i was out the entire yesterday went to get my hair cut was the first thing i did, had to la you know. Don't want to go into office tomorrow looking all scruffy and shit, then after that went to 1u to lepak in coffee bean (oh gawd...i feel dirty) where some friends and i spend hours watching HARDO GAY!!! say say say!!! Dinner then yum cha...phew that about sums it up, hrm, thinking about it i didn't really do much yesterday. But for somewhat reason i didn't have time to do anything else, now why is that? Oh well!!!

Its surprisingly easy to make me happy...take yesterday for instance, it was a happy day. Not gonna tell you folks why or how, i know too many people that drop by here so i don't want them to be exploiting on it la. Not to say its a bad thing though just that i'll be happy all the time HAHAHA, yeah right as if that would happen. Anyway since today is a holiday and also my last day of my LONG ass holiday i should have lotsa things to do....Unfortunately though that doesn't seem to be the case, on the contrary i feel the exact opposite. Bored as hell, i even went and get the 1000 free sms thingy to start spamming people just for the sake of passing time i mean how lame is that. Well whatever it is tomorrow will be a new day and a new challenge....well at least i hope so.
